Making steady progress and still trying not to get too caught up in the details at this point. Reasonably happy with the sword but the blade does need a bit of adjusting as it's a bit too big.

Thought I'd make a start on the demon's armour and share my process. I used ZBrush's extract tool to make the basic shape of the shoulder armour. I then adapted this with the masking and deformation/inflate tools and used the resulting mesh for the leg armour. There are probably better ways to do this using modeling rather than sculpting software but i've found using the above method easier and faster.

        Default Tip for making chain-mail

After trying to create the demon's chain-mail with the insert dot mesh brush, i found that using ZBrush's Shadowbox feature saved loads of time. Simply mask out a grid of 9 ring shapes (you could mask out more but you probably have to increase the rez in Shadowbox). You can then separate them, then use the mesh-insert brush to add the links in the opposite direction. Hope this helps

After a few late nights and energy drinks I finally think i'm getting somewhere with the demon's wings, (RedBull really does give you wings lol). Not too far to go now, gonna give everything another pass after a few more sub-tools then on to ZBrush's BPR for some render test shots.

              good looking cape
I would suggest posing the wing that is folded before
adding to much detail tho, I found its kind of a waste
of time because you lose detail on the proses of posing, so
what you gain using symmetry is not worth it in the end.

Thanx SkieHigh, glad you like I see what you mean Renderluz, realised just after i masked out one of the wing segments and started detailing. Gonna pose them first then start detailing.

Just a quick update, took a second look at the demon's shin armour and noticed that they cover the back of his legs, so I had to remake them. Still workin on them wings

I really dig the shin armor. Do you happen to know if a printer can handle the fibermesh details?

Thanx Snno1, glad you like. I had thought about the 3D print and fiber-mesh details and i dont think a 3D printer can handle them. To be honest i'm not too bothered as i just want to make the best digital 3D model i can, there are some awesome sculpts that are much better than mine, i just wanna learn and have fun which is what it's all about imo

I was'nt planning on poly-painting/texturing but thought i'd give it a go and kinda like the result. I've near enough finished sculpting so i'm gonna experiment with some lighting effect after painting.
