Right now I use a freeware called Quick gamma it has helped calibrate my monitor that washes out colors. You can find it here http://quickgamma.de/indexen.html
But one thing is if your color profiles are set on either Photoshop or corel painter or whichever program. Sometimes if those are not adjusted it'll either change your colors every time you save or go back or look strange on someone else's monitor. In PS go to edit>color settings> 1)On the top settings bar change it to> monitor color 2)go down into the working spaces box> change it to adobe rgb 1998 or apple rgb. These 2 color profiles have a wide gamut of colors and preserve them better. 3) then ok it! Hopefully nothing weird happens afterward. Hope this helps. :] |

I don't Claim to be an expert but.... read this before changing settings. This is how I am set up. If anyone can contradict me, I'd love to hear it.
