Good question. Time permitting all the way to final render with texture, color, and maybe a few props included! I'm learning as I go along so you know.

After seeing so many develop their torso more fully I thought I would be doing myself a disservice to not try that myself as well. I know it is a "Bust" however on the requirements.

Worked on the head and hat a little tonight.

I should build all elements of the character together and use reference material but I'm just experimenting and playing right now and trying to stay motivated.

I have to ask, I see a lot of full body models and I was thinking about getting into this possibly, busts are ok for this challenge correct? Sorry for asking such a basic question.

I think so yup, I was planning on doing a full body for my portfolio anyway, so that's why I went ahead and did his full body.

Yeah the challenge rules asks for a bust but your able to do a full body if you want (have the time).

Thanks guys! I hope to get a bust done. I was just kind of drawn back I guess from all the full/half body concepts :P My anatomy knowledge is not yet good enough to do anything more than a bust at the moment.

I really hope this challenge blows up, this is a great idea and I hope to see some serious work

This is my concept for my character. He is a Priest from the Church of Satan.

small update,

there is still much work!
where the spikes come out the flesh will be more damaged, the teeth are not there yet, hands are not finished yet,
the armor will be further worked...
