I'm doing a more stylized illustration, but before I lay any value or color in I want to make sure the composition/ anatomy/ shadows/ light is really spot on. There are large portions not finished in the line work, but I would like a fresh pair of eyes to give me their take on what I have so far before I continue.

So far I'm thinking of adding a body to the bottom left to accompany that helmet, buildings in the far background... if you can tell an explosion in the far top right. Anyway that's what I have so far, I hope to get some feedback on this image. Thank you!

Ok this is as far as I'm going with the linework before putting in color/ value. I'm open to any paintovers or advice on certain aspects of what I have so far. Ill continue to update until it's finished

I foresee getting rid of some of the background linework. A little too much imo.

After doing my Barack portrait and trying to work with this new thick black linework style I just felt like this was much more of a painting. As you can tell with the leg in the front. I'm gonna overhaul this illo. Will not let it die!

the shadows of the soldiers seem incorrect to me. I do however, like the placement of the down solider on the right since it emphasizes your main character running and gunning into harms way. keep it up

Hey thanks! You know what's funny, I abandoned this thread awhile ago after failing to find a way to delete the thread. There's a whole bunch of stuff that's off with the painting. I never gave up on it though, as it is now, I think it might be best for me to redraw it. I don't know why, but I feel that would be the best thing. And since I can't figure out how to delete this thread I' ll probably post it in here when I do haha.
