New Worlds #39- BOSS BATTLE!

Its finally that time, all your effort has reached this point. The boss has finally shown himself, but there is a problem...the design of his level is missing! It is up to you to design the missing level for a 'final' showdown boss fight but here is the fun part, take a boss from a video game that you enjoyed and bring to life and redesign that 'final' moment.

in a nut shell any boss fight is acceptable the key though is I want to see some epic scenes and stuff that would make a game director/game player say WOW thats the final level!

keep this in mind
and without anymore delay....GET DRAWING!!!

I believe I will participate as well. I choose the final battle between Snake and Rex in Metal Gear Solid. I really like the hangar area they fight in.

This sounds fun! i gotta take part in it! I can pay homage to those retro video games that grew up with me. thinking along the lines of Golden Axe or Super Mario series.

Question: Since I've never done a competition on Cghub before, do we just post all of our WIP and finishes in this thread?

Everyone posts their WIPs together in this thread. Later there will be a finals thread. Everyone puts their finals in the finals thread without making comment posts so we get a nice clean line up of entries for the voting. All the mutual comments, cross-talk, and general bantering go in this thread along with the WIPs.

Usually the finals thread is prepared about a week before the deadline. Usually we announce its existence. It will have the same thread thumbnail and will have a title identifying it as the Finals Thread for New Worlds #39- Boss Battle.

yah plus posting your wips will be part of the whole reason of this challenges which is to help each other out, get some critiques and push ourselves.... so we strongly recommend it. dont keep it a secret

Does the art piece have to be related to a 3d game? was thinking of some painting for a pixel art game

You can do any game, just redesing the levels environment
