    Question Problems with UV Maps

    Hi,

I'm starting to UV Map one of my Models at the moment (the Kirov) and get some Problems.
As the model is created out of many Objects/Poly I UV Map each object by it's own.

I now have lets say 9 Object, each one UV Mapped and the UV Map is packed in the UV-Square.

Now I want to attach the objects to get the right scaling in the UV Map.
After attaching the objects the UV Maps overlay at the UV-Square.
I can easily seperate them so I have 9 UV-Map Blocks.

    Now my question:
Is there a option in 3DMax 2012 that I can easily scale them down (so all fit in the UV-Square) and the scaling to each other fits the Model propotion without rotating and rearanging the Maps in the groups?

I tried to uncheck the rotate box at the "Arrange Elements" Panel, but the system still rotates them.
Also I tried to group the objects maps (so nine groups) and then use the "Pack" button, but then some groups simply disappeared.

P.S.: Sorry if I'm not using the correct terms, I'm autodidact.

I think we should rearrange all again so the space in the uv is best used

i dont know max, only maya. but this might help. Whenever I work with UVs, assign a basic checker shader to all the objects you are working with. that way you can easily see whitch part of the models UVs are too big or small.
