would have more but i (regrettably) watched the Oscars instead. I LOVE movies, and i just get mad watching 'the academy' blow smoke up its ass while great achievements in film making go un-recognized. >B(

                  Great update!! C0nker3!
I suggest you stick to grey scale digital painting for now, colour painting can really fuck you up specailly if your charging into it and working more intuitively, thats the kind shit i used too do and still do,itll slow down your development more than anything. Work in grey scale first because once youve got a good grasp of that you just translate that knowledge over to colour, showing form with colour is a whole new ball game but having good knowledge of grey scale shit helps you see if its working or not.

hahaha i understand that 1st part only too well. color has been very hard. I think i wanna keep trying at it, but from now on ill always always switch it into black and white while i work on something, (since its so easy to flip it in photoshop.) I've even noticed myself getting so caught up in what hue or saturation something should be i totally forget to focus on the value (or sometimes even the shape haha.)

Actually, i think i will do some grey scale studies in the coming weeks. Keep my mind in the right frame of reference. thanks man! i love the feedback. Your studies and perspective work are looking really good.

Heres what i worked on today... in color haha, can do greyscale stuff in the future.

(if your wondering, some of the figures were holding cloth/drapery so thats what those 'extra' looking forms are.)

I think ill make this a daily thing since this one site makes its so darn convenient to do. http://www.pixelovely.com/gesture/figuredrawing.php
(Its been posted in this forum at least a few times before i think, but might as well share it for any one who missed it )

And re-drew the drawing i was trying to get yesterday, Just the sketch done, but i feel a lot better about it.
not sure how i want to do the background yet.

2 hours of figure studies today. still not great. I need to focus on the inner forms next time. Get those proportions right. and i cant decide if i prefer using that soft/smudge like brush for these or the flat oil one. The flat takes way longer, but the smudge keeps being a pain in the butt.
                            eh.
                            practice practice practice.
