Hullo, I'm hoping to do a lot of studies and the like in the near future so I thought I'd post them here. Considering I've been lurking since forever it'll be nice to make a contribution to the community. Anyways, to start things off, here are some face studies I did over the past 2 weeks (cause I suck at faces, I noticed) and some old thing I finally got around to finishing yesterday. Any criticism, constructive or otherwise, would of course be greatly appreciated. Thanks for looking and here's to hoping I won't scorch your retinas.

Gameloft didn't like me, so I just polished my turd of an art test. Pose is so fundamentally borked though that everything I fixed created 3 new problems, so pretty much just gave up on that.



Friend of mine had this brilliant idea for a ballerina splicer, so I did what any true friend would do and nicked it

And Gameloft still doesn't like me. With very good reason, this makes even me wince. Really need to practise speed painting.

Weekly updates? Let's give it a go. Someone had the audacity to die, so I didn't get a lot done this week. Sadly, that also took care of all the time I'd reserved for the artorder challenge.

First I was going to rush this, which wasn't really working.



Then I thought 'sod the deadline', started over and am now a lot happier.

And a fun little nothing. Had the idea for these shapes without knowing whether they were going to be tech or trees. Turned out as buildings of some kind, so added a tree to make up for it.

Noticed that my brush work in the previous one was really piss poor, so tried to compensate in this one. Again botched the face but at least it looks vaguely humanoid, I think?


And came across Sculptris on my HD so I actively procrastinated.

Your human studies are amazing. How long do you usually spend on them? I'm also really enjoying your environments and character concepts.

Thanks. I normally take about 1-2 hours for those, or up to 4 if it's giving me a hard time. Except for the girl in the bikini, that took waaaaay longer.

Been busy this week but don't want to post it just yet, so here's another meagre post.

Some glade I accidentally painted while trying to do a city background.



Shitty thumbs for a bloodsport I didn't have time for. Last one's in pen, looks so much better.

And another study I did while half asleep. Not the best source image anyway, oh well. Tried to salvage and I think my brush strokes came out okay.
