My advice is to plug in the tablet before starting your software - many programs don't do well with the tablet if you plug it in after starting them; they behave as if you're just using a mouse and clicking. I hope that helps someone

Hello again
Well, I have another idea. Sometimes my tablet also decides to act interesting and here's what solves the problem...Look for the bamboo folder in the start menu - there you'll find something called "Bamboo preference file utility". It's pretty straightforward - you can back up your tablet settings, remove yours (there is also the option to remove all user settings - this resets everything to defaults) or load old settings from a backup file. Backup if you have any custom settings, reset the settings and who knows ![]()

I am having the same problem, neither GIMP nor Photoshop CS4 64 bit nor 32 bit recognize the pen pressure for my tablet, a Wacom Bamboo Fun. In photoshop specifically, there's the little warning triangle next to the drop down box where I can select the pen pressure in the size dynamics of the brush tool. It used to work fine with this very pc, but I reinstalled windows and now it doesn't work anymore. Things I tried are this: I downloaded and tried out two different drivers from the wacom website: 5.2.5-5a and 5.3.2-1. Both to the same result, as in, nothing changes. I checked for the wintab32.dll files. After I had removed the previous driver, they were gone as expected, after installing the new driver, they were there, again as expected. I installed both the newest chipset driver for my Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3 and the USB3.0 driver (called Eltron) from the gigabyte website. The Tablet was plugged in, the last time I started the two photoshops. I can move the cursor as usual using the pen, the tablet's region is correctly mapped to the screen region, meaning if I lift the pen and set it down somewhere else on the tablet, the cursor also jumps to the according spot. the wacom preference program launches like normal, the service "Wacom Consumer Touch Service" is started. ...What else can I do? edit: oh, I dug out an age-old thread. some forums don't like that too much (although this was among the first links in google so I'd assume the more help in this thread, the more people will be reached ); in that case, sorry.Last edited by JayEff; 06-03-2013 at 04:07 PM. |
