@Relinquish...Focus on main defining areas like the Arc of Ribs, Clavicle region,etc..!

It's still very much defined in "The THING"!
So use as many references as you can.

And regarding the clothes, look at the fold and creases of the Trousers and try to mimic the muscles with respect to the pose!

And regarding the Video upload, look at the link below

@stefanocelsi: you may be right about the face..i'm leaving the sculpt for two days so I can look at it with a fresh eye and make corrections to mistakes that I couldn't see. also, don't let the mouth confuse you, it's cut like Joker's mouth on the Dark Knight that's why it looks a bit big.

@Relinquish: doing first what Zentrope told you, a nice way to do the cloth is going to Brush/Auto Masking and turn on Topological. What Topological does is that the brush intensity gets less and less as you move away from the point that you clicked. Play with the "range" value and you'll figure it out. Here is an example, all the folds are done with Topological:

Default Thanks and just to clarify

@zentrope Thanks for the pointers i'll rearrange the stones and more clearly define his anatomicle features as far as the link should i upload my video to youtube first then follow the steps to post it?

@stonestef Thanks for the tip and the example Thats exactly the effect i was looking for. I am using mudbox and i'm not sure exactly how to turn on that feature. could you walk me through that (also i saw one of your renders how are you doing that is it a different software?)

Mudbox works in a different manner than Zbrush!

In mudbox there is no right tool or specific tool to do things.
It's a more generic software, so try different brush combinations with different settings like falloff tweaking with Grab and pinch brushes along with Sculpt and smooth Brush.

If you are using a tablet, tweak the pressure settings according to the need.

Look at the link below for "Cloth Sculpting"

Sorry, I thought you were using zbrush. As Zentrope said, if you are using a tablet you can have the same effect if you do it carefully.
As for the render, I'm not sure which one you are talking about specifically but all the renders I have posted are done in zbrush.

@ zentrope I started to define his anatomy and replace the stones acording to that as far as posting that turntable i'm still unclear if its required of me to upload to youtube first then to move it here?

@stonestef thanks for the help even although my software differs from yours that pic you posted will make a good refrence pic

Relinquish : the character you chose for this challenge is a typical one.. you have to blend in the human forms with the characteristics of rocks !! i would suggest you to first bring out the muscular forms in lower divisions and focus on the human anatomy.. try working on a small patch for the stone finish, and once you figure it out, follow it for the whole body.
