I was quite unhappy with the previous pose so I stepped back and re-started with thumbnails and a more efficient design process.
This version has a russian-siberian influenced vibe to it I think.
Any critique and feedback will be appreciated

I'm doing an experiment with this one. This will be the first time I paint in greyscale then add color afterwards.

Anyone have any tips for working in this fashion?

further sketches, narrow down to 2 ideas, the first is the more sinister/evil soul collector wizard, i like it, but i feel it's a bit decrepit which goes against the brief, the second one is the standard high and mighty wizard idea, don't know which one to pick, will decide later

Fixed the pose and changed the face slightly,making it a bit meaner.
