Is like a dream coming true! a portable analog-to-digital sketching device...

Coming from Wacom, it must be awesome, but I have my doubts about precision and battery durability... but who knows? maybe the next step on digital sketching!

will it also function as a tablet? i mean real time both digital and analog sketching? or is just a storing device? that would be cool too

This vid shows the digitalized drawings.
It looks kind of accurate somehow , the hatching looks good from here , as the sketch too , i mean no weird lines not connecting with each other etc.... it may be quite accurate ! i do hope so !

Last week end i had the opportunity to try the Inkling myself .
I wasn't able to bring back the sketch + digitalized version but i can explain what are to me the weakest points if anyone interested ^^

1st the precision : It's ok when you're sketching it does the job and is quite accurate most of the time . The problem i've seen is when you start making regular stroke like (fig 1) it doesn't appear very precise once digitalized (fig 2)

2nd the handling : The emitter/receptor is located in the very end of the stylus ( or very beginning depending what is the end what is the beginning) and if you hide it even a little bit (fig3) you may end up like me on my first try with nothing recorded :/
You really need to hold it on the grip and not below , even a bit .

My conclusion is that , it's a good tool but maybe more made for quick ideas sketching ,and not really for nice precise drawing , plus for people who do not hold the stylus on the very end of it ( you know the kind who have fingers stained with ink after a draw )

It's nonetheless an impressive piece of technology.
This is just my own opinion on the inklinkg , and my experience , it may differ from ppl to ppl ^^ .
