PandaProductions: I think you are almost there, but I think you have lost some of the focus of the previous image. Your eye is drawn to the white fire and seems to get stuck a little, see if you can add another light source that makes the dragons face and what he is holding more of the focus. The hanging reeds are sorta just 'there' so moving them so they work with the composition or taking them out completely will probably work better.

Kittensoft: You are getting there But right now you are limiting yourself with your colour pallette, the ladies robe will reflect *alot* on the dragons shiny scales. I would also add some green/blues into your shadows to make them deeper, would also look at changing the background colour to something darker to push it back.

MrBrown: That is one scary ass dragon! I love it. I think adding some darker shadows on the dragon itself might make it pop a little more but otherwise its looking very promising!

Impulsive: Awesome start, really hope you get it finished in time. I think the end of the dragons horn would show up just behind the lady as the other one seems to curve in quite close to his face, whereas the one behind the lady just seems to go behind her then get lost.

Daratha: Think you can get abit more colour into both the shadows and hilights to really put the dragon and rabbit in the scene. Otherwise looking great

RhB: Good start, have a look at some lizards to see how their limbs attach to their bodies, I might add a plane or something in the big open space to give the dragon something to look at.

nuggetygoodness: Awesome start, love the sense of scale in your picture. Reckon you could put a few more tones and shapes in between the foreground and background to really give it a sense of space in the picture.

ddem: Nice concept, might tilt the plane to the left a little so its more flying into the picture rather than out of it.

Wildbrew: Good start, think you need to look at your anatomy though. Hiding stuff you cant draw behind clouds just looks kinda obvious I think you could push yourself more with the pose and have the dragon coming towards you rather than going away if its the main focus of the picture.

@Wildbrew What colors are you planning for the dragon itself? Kinda worried the BG might take away from it or act weirdly in contrast with the dragon since it's so multi-colored.

Does anyone have any critiques or tips about how I'm finally implementing color?

I like your color choices and lighting, definitely looks like fire is the light source hitting the dragon. The spatula might be lit differently though. Since hes holding it off to the side, in perspective it seems like the side facing us wouldn't be directly lit. So you could give it edges that are lit to still show its form, while the face of it being mostly darker, reflected light. And i think the lighting on the cow and boy would be much more harsh/dramatic since they're closest to the light source. Which would be a good thing any way since you want them to stand out. Any way good work
edit** oh!! and i forgot, since yours is lit by fire-light, youll want that orange/yellow light being picked up on everything. Especially his white apron and beard. If you can think back to like, being out camping by a fire, every one always look orange.
Edit****#2 Lol Scalc's picture is actually a perfect example. There are hints of orange in everything the fire-light reaches, even in the purple skin. and also, nicely done Scalc :P

@kovah: thanks for the hint with this open space on the right
@ScalC: cool! his ability to fly is a mystery. reminds me of a bumblebee
@C0nker3: I think your image could need some more depth., I would try it with a color transition to a more desaturated blue tone with less contrast in the background. just an idea

so i think I'm done, could be better but okay...
