Default Your introduction here.

I figured we should have one of these.

So introduce yourself, how life has been treating you terribly/wonderfully as of late, and feel free to attach any doodles or photos just for the fun of it. XD

I'll start since I initiated the thread.

Name is Jingna, aka zemotion at most places. Living in Singapore, sunny island with one season for four.

I love CG but I can't draw. I'd have loved to become an illustrator. Didn't happen but I love my current job as I see beautiful women and clothes and get to create beautiful images.

I was an air rifle shooter for 6 years before I went fulltime in photography. In this same period I managed works for some asian artists and met a great deal of wonderful people in the games industry on this side of the hemisphere.

My childhood dream was to become a gundam wing zero pilot but being a shooter was the closest I ever came about. My attachment shall be a photo for proof because jeffsimpsonkh does not believe my words.

That's all for me.

*edit*

New & looking for something to do?

I'm thinking I should move to the U.S. someday, but we'll see what happens.

Name is alex, 25, living in socal (san diego), sunny state with one season for four.

I've worked in games and consumer electronics doing everything from concept art to corporate branding and user interface design.

Currently I'm working at Rockstar Games (san diego) as a designer/interface artist.

I love art, but i'd rather be dancin'.

I was an administrator at eatpoo.com during its heyday, but ditched after the place got too crazy.

Right now I host a pretty low key forum which was started for a bunch of artist friends of mine to keep in touch, but after opening it up publically we got a pretty nice crowd going on:

      cloudNINE

      my website is

      redbeardead.

which is a "project" i'm currently working on... but is really mostly a sandbox for experimenting with ideas, concepts, artwork, writing, etc etc.

i love flash. i love good design. i love illustration. i love love love dirtydisco music with heavy basslines.

      but mostly, i love you.

      Yay we have people replying!

      Keep it going guys~

      And just for responses --

silk: Yes, I suppose you can take out someone's eye with it, even if it's just a small lead pellet, probably won't go through the skulls but I had a .22 that would do it. XD

jeff: unforgivable!!! jk. I'm so nice, you're forgiven.

alex: good to see you here ^^

            Hello Jingna,

My name is Evan Campbell and I have been a freelance sculptor for the entertainment industry for over fifteen years. I began working on films and television at the young age of fourteen. I have been extremely lucky to work for some of my favorite directors ( John Carpenter, Wes Craven, Robert Rodriguez, Quentin Tarantino) in Hollywood. I look forward to seeing all the great, fresh talent on this website!

                  Ahoy!

I already know a few of you from the old Mess Studio Chillroom and DA.

My name is Patrick Langlois aka Vlad Damien (how cheesy!). I'm from Montreal and it seems I'm the resident French Canadian.

I'm a 28 year old professional translator. I'm an art enthusiast and sequential artist (not the best at it, but I enjoy what I do).

I kind of feel out of place with my background, especially when the people here actually conceive what I read and play, but I'm always willing to help out. I usually have more ideas to share than the talent to put them on paper (as drawings... words are not a problem).

It's funny how I might have become a Graphic designer and actually opted for Translation instead, just out of sheer laziness. When it was time to submit a portfolio, I had nothing to show that was worth much in my eyes, so I said "Screw it" and went for translation.
Happy I did. Now drawing comics is my hobby and I now have 2 complete comic done after 7 years of work. The main point of doing them was to improve. I'm sure glad I did these comics, because not only did they help me improve my art and writing, they also allowed me to meet really cool people.

Hope to meet tons more here!

                  Cheers!

Welcome to all the new ones

Haha, Patrick, langauges were one of the alternatives that I considered, when I thought about what to study. but then opted for film and animation.
Well, I still love languages, and want to try to learn more in my life, currently it is french So your introduction just struck me funny, haha.

It's really cool to have people from different backgrounds here, I think.

oh Patrick that's awesome! I'm still studying but I want to translate professionally between Russian, Japanese, and English. I took some french in highschool but I sure wouldn't be able to read it.
