My experience usually shows that being in a physical art studio with a professor able to walk around the room does the most wonders when it comes to critique and learning. But Full Sail Academy was recommended to me by a friend for trying online art courses. I think I've even seen their ad here on the site. They're based in Florida.

      Default Schools online

These are two of the most reputable.

I would highly recommend both. I've taken classes at schoolism with Bobby Chiu and a storyboarding classes there. Amazing demos, and great critique.

The school you choose will depend on exactly what you want to do, I am going to full sail university online for computer animation. The only problem people have with online schools is lack of discipline in their time management, although it is and can be more helpful if you go to the school itself because then you can get help right away instead of waiting for your teacher to get online.

However, if you cannot afford nor have transport to go to a college online college is just as good.

I go to an online school too and The Art Department is very professional about a student's art education. Yes you have the time problem, and you have to be responsible for your own development. It gives you more freedom, but if you skip assignments, do you think is better?

My advice is go the school you think is best, Gnomon, The art Dep, Full sail, etc, but know what you will be doing and give it all your effort.
