Hi everybody! A banner ad for this competition caught my eye over on another site so I decided to give it a shot. I'm new to this particular forum, but have messed around in 3d for about 6 years now and wish to expand my knowledge of sculpting.

So, here is my idea for a my warrior. Basically, he is a futuristic soldier who because of his injuries should have died on the battle field. However, his body was reconstructed using experimental technology that, although saved him, turned him into an abomination. Once he recovered, the order came for him to reenter combat. Out of fear and disgust he flees the military who now hunts him down to reclaim the investment they made in saving this man's life.

As for my sculpt, I would like to take an alternate route by showing him not in combat or standing in glory, but recovering from from a recent run-in with his hunters. I have chosen a sitting position in which he will be depicted writing a sorrow filled letter to his lover to whom he is to ashamed to return.

I have neglected posting this for some time and have already started sculpting. I will post some rough concepts I drew up once I get my scanner working. Screenshots of my WIP and base model will probably be up before then though.
