Hello to all. Let's it start.

I found some time to make shoes. It looks pretty ugly but retopology, cleaning and details will make it better

            Go to lowest subdivision,

Press "W" to make wires visible.

In "Select/Move Tools", click on "Faces" and then paint faces along the center line go up to "Select--->Set Topological Axis"

I had a similar problem, but I mananged to get it to work when I went up to subdivision level 1 and then Mesh> Set topological axis and it worked. Hope that helps.

I found what was the problem with topological axis. The coordinates of the object must be 0.0.0. So if it's shifted the tool doesn't work

it looks cool but there are some similiarities with one of scott patton's character and we don't want to necessary go to the grey area.http://www.thegnomonworkshop.com/sto...esign-Volume-2

Sorry but I don't see the similarity at all. I think that comparison is a little unfair. The head is absolutely different, with it's own style the forehead and chin being especially different ( eg no double bulbous mounds . If we are talking similarity because his eyes are close together, I think that's taking it a bit too far.

Nice work so far Jack, it looks great. I love the style, best of luck

i actually got the same impression that this seems inspired my scott patton's tutorial. It isn't exactly the same, but the look of the nose, eyes and shape of the undersized forehead with giant chin makes me think of that tutorial.

which is perfectly fine btw! the futuristic armor makes me think this is going in a very different direction anyway.
