Well.. it's a sketchblog, so you'll see.. sketches. And WIPs! I really wish I had more time to focus on art and art related studies

These are a lot of fun ideas. I like this bottom guy the best, keep working him, get some reference and dont forget about cast shadows

Thank you - castshadows are my nemesis, as are backgrounds. Absolutely have to work on that.

The very first page for my comic Dragonbones. I've been working on that comic for years and finally managed to muster the courage to begin drawing. I plan to update new pages on saturdays. Perhaps I'll post sketches and charactersheets in my cghub sketchbook. I kind of have a hard time simply drawing "out of the blue" since I have so little time for myself at the moment...

Great stuff mate! I like the shapes you have going in your coloured pieces, the compositions are really working - good to see personality showing in one's work! I like the chunkiness of your Elf here, yes I agree the cast shadow will really ground and solidify him.

Not much I can crit on a comic as I don't read them. I like the atmosphere in general though - I'd definitely come back and read more^^

Oh and thanks for offering me advice too in my Sb

    Keep it up!

I've got a ton of unfinished stuff on my PC - starting a brand-new artwork seems to be the wrong thing to do, but I think it's the best I can do atm. I've been bored by my own works and style lately and the one thing that keeps going through my mind when paiting is: I don't want to do THIS, I really want to draw something different. Of course I like what I draw, but this semi-realistic anime style doesn't get me anywhere and I miss the challenge of drawing real people. I miss the motivation and the goal I had when I first got serious about drawing. That's why I have moved all old WIPs to a storage and started painting this new artwork. I want to push realism as far as I can go and learn whatever I can from this project. When will this be finished? I have no clue and I don't care if I have to work on it for 3 months or more as I don't have much free time for myself - business and my comic-project keep me quite busy.
