Figured I'd start a cghub sketchbook. Looking for some helpful crits and comments that may help (otherwise they wouldn't be helpful, eh?) me get better. Also just another way to showcase some of my less finished pieces of art.
...anyways...

My name is Robert Powell. I was born in South Africa raised in Canada. I've always had a huge interest in animals, creatures, aliens, monsters, dinosaurs, cryptids, mythical beings, etc. That interest was often correlated with a love of drawing. I now work (not 'make money' work, but I paint a lot, at least try to) as a digital artist, trying to improve both my fundamental and design background so that I may one day become a concept artist specializing in creature, character, and environment design. Still got a long way to go, but it's hard to make something without starting with nothing!

I will try to keep this sketchbook to just wips and sketches, for my more finished works you can view my cghub gallery.
