It's going very well as is for the most part. The only thing I would say is her butt check and her thigh facing us seems a little too big and is throwing off the distribution of space/proportion as well as competing for attention. It may or may not be a bad thing if that is what you are going for. It does seem to add a little bit more dominance to the female character... so, again, may or may not be bad if that is what your aim is.
The man's feet also seem a bit small. I like how you moved his legs for the revision. He seems "tense", so that seems intentional. But I would say try something like draw quick sketches of feet from a 3d source and then resketch his new feet so that they don't seem so flat and will fit in the space better. Everything else has a voluminous/round feeling to it, and the feet are flattening down comparatively.
Besides that, I'm liking the style and personally I don't mind the butt cheek too much. I think if you fix the feet, it will look OK, especially if you make them a little more proportional. I actually though the slips of white (when you were coloring the background) were intentional and you were going to render something out of it). Almost thought for a minute there would be more drapery. You could possibly take it further, but it's just a thought.
