I think nobody failed to give his or her best. It's always hard to judge art, if not impossible. Nobody should feel sorry he or she failed to get a prize. Remember Van Gogh, we are lucky in comparison
I am happy with this contest because I worked really hard day and night and am somewhat happy with the end result, plus I got some really good feedback both here and on the zbrush central. At the end of the day if you don't do it for yourself what's the point? And the prize is just an icing to the cake, if not you still get the cake
