I've seen some comments about CGHub letting things get out of hand with the negative comments towards CA. I truly don't think that there is or should be a "War" between CA and CGHub. As a matter of fact CGHub is extremely supportive of other art forums and communities. This is a fact.

after going through this thread. now i know its pretty much a civil war. cg hub just happened to be the place where you guys was able to vent out the frustrations. i hope no negativity sticks to cg hub cause of this. i too welcome the new guys and cant wait to see the new work that flourishes in here.

this place is great and i have not had any problems or drama in here. and would like to keep it that way!

i got my eyes on you!!
On behalf of the CGHUB.com team we want to officially address this topic before it gets out of hand. The quotes above by some of our veteran contributors Bart and Che-Che sum up our stance on this issue. CGHUB.com has been and will continue to be supportive towards all other art communities, including conceptart.org, Massive Black, their employees, members, admins, and moderators. Some of our founders and staff have close ties to those organizations and we have many members who are actively engaged in both communities. We would hate to think because of whatever has happened in the conceptart.org community that our members feel like they must pick sides in this situation. We wish everyone success and happiness in their endeavors and believe that no good can come out of infighting and negativity. Creativity and productivity can't flourish in that kind of environment!

It's been a little over a year since the Hub was launched, we have promoted and featured many companies, websites and artists, including numerous Massive Black artists, their work, events and products from conceptart.org. In our forums you will see posts promoting their digital downloads and classes. Conceptart.org has a user group and a profile page and has been featured on the Editor Picks section of the site.

Our policy is to encourage everyone and we want you to succeed, we'll do our best to give you the spotlight here at the Hub. We are here to help and promote you (whether you are an individual or an organization), and that has been our goal from day one and will always be our first priority.

While we always welcome new members here, having to do so at the expense of another community is not something that we ever want to see happen. Throughout all this we are sensitive to our existing members and their comfort level here on the Hub. Our first priority is keeping the community happy and recent events may make them wonder what is going on, especially if they heard a rumor and not the facts. We have a very laid back, relaxed and encouraging community here and we continually strive to keep it that way. There have been some comments in this thread suggesting that we have been encouraging or promoting some kind of rivalry between the Hub and conceptart.org and we hope that this statement will put those accusations to rest.

We can't tell you what to talk about here, it's not our place, but for the sake of our members and existing community we would encourage everyone to focus on the positive and leave the negative behind. Another thing to remember is employers are watching, and your choices may have a positive or negative reflection on future opportunities. 2010 is around the corner, let's start it right!
