@Sterexai I would love to see what you have in mind, please share. Thing is that it has to be carefully done because once you venture in to doing fantasy it easily can stray away from what I at least feel anatomicae should be for which ids the study of what does exist to and take what you learn from that to make other things that would be useful for the other challenges given their own category like Character forge and creature planet.

I have a lrge list of chalenge ideas I'm putting in to each type of challenge and finished my list for anatomicae. So here it is if you wish to use any of them...

Spiral out-
A perspective study from a one point view in which participants create a circular tunnel lined with spiraling planks that go from the viewer to the center along the inner walls. This deals with texture, depth perception, atmospheric colour, and "fading"

Headless but not speechless
Participants are to create a scene telling a story or expressing emotion and action only using the body. The head is not to be present at all, this will help people to understand and think about expressing gestures as well as emotion with the body independently of the head.

Stress and rest
muscles change and squish and tighten ad buldge when partaking in certain actions. The objective of this is to pick any body part and display it being used to push, pull, turn, or lift and also display the same body part at rest. This gets people to understand how weigght and strain affect the body.

Hot n cold
Temperature is a big part of colour and light. The objective is simple and straight forward, participants are to take a cold scene for the first part and have a soruce of warm light.(ex fire in a cold snowy forest).

Shall we dance?(2 part)
One thing that is not stressed enough in academics and in studies is interaction between 2 or more subjects. It is one of the harder things to do. This could be practiced by having two parts, a gentle and subtle interaction such as dancing slow and then a second part with an intense interaction such as fighting/wrestling/etc...

Immortalized(2 part)
Often when creating illustrations and or concept work you'll one day have to make a statue. This is an opportunity to go outsid and explore as many parks and plazas have one or two statues. This study helps to understand how the organic form is translated into stone/bronze/gold/steel/etc and in turn helps t udnerstand texture of materials.

That is the first part of it though; The second part would be to take an image of a living creature posed and med independent of an environment as if you're creating a proposition. Then you are to place this statue in an environment. This helps you to understand not just what you've learned form the previous study, but also to learn how things work colour wise within and without context.

The shining
Time for some life drawing! Get as may shiny bjects as you can find take a picture as share it with your fellow CGhubers. This scene is your life drawing to do. Try not to have only greys and off whites throw a red underneath put an orange next to that polished pan get funky and think abstract. This study is to help with understanding intense/mild reflective surfaces, colour, composition, and light. Hell while you're at it put yourself in that reflection too ;]

Ocean of light
This is an awkward study for some, but understanding our world is to understand what is beyond it too. yo are to create a space scene with the requirement of having at least 1 star. Any other object in the scene are up to you.

Evolution of man(5 part challenge series)
You are to do the portrait of a child, a teenager, an adult, then a senior. This challenge would then end wth a fith challenge to see what you've noticed by selecting an individual(yourself or someone random from the internet or a friend) and create the other three stages in their life based on what observations you've made doing portraits prior to the transition challenge.

Weekly/daily body (human and animal)part sub challenge:
I think it'd be great is that while we maintain having weekly challenges for elaborate studies we have mini studies on the side that aren't really polled, but rather everyone and anyone can participate in and do something quick or take their time that day. The way it'd work is that each day a part of a human or animal is chosen whether it be full figure or a finger(s), or goat horns and or cow hooves. It'd be like a public sketchbook.

The way it'd be structured is that there would be a subforum within the anatomicae forum. So one day they would post a thread for doing human noses everyone who wants to draw human noses that day would do so and they can openly give advice an critique each other. When the next game comes the new subject matter thread will be posted and the cycle repeats.

Each thread title would look something like "Study #- Species- Body/body part - date"
