I really want to see this haha. Only reason behind it is that Christopher Nolan is producing it. And I love his work in the The Dark Knight Trilogy. Next summer, long wait, hopefully it is really good. By the way The Dark Knight was my favorite out of the trilogy.

This trailer did not make me excited for the movie at all. I have a high opinion super hero movies are meant to be action-packed. This felt like a drama.

The trailer feels like it relied too much on Superman, the name and icon, to bring in an audience, only then to feel sorry for his life of hiding his powers. Drama and dark worked for Batman Begins, because of the death of Bruce Wayne's parents and his struggle to cope with his loss, but Superman isn't Batman. As far as I've seen, Superman is proud of his role in society, and does not struggle with his super hero identity until Lois Lane enters his life.

Personally, I'd rather see Clark Kent in Metropolis running from danger only to have him rip the buttons off his shirt and reveal the Superman logo under his suit. Now that's iconic.

This movie isn't about Superman running away from helping people and being all moody and dark like Batman. The movie is merely going to project Superman as a beacon of hope in an otherwise highly cynical world.

"Would you trust a demi-God like being?". Let's admit it. We live in a paranoid world. It's easy to root for dark and disturbed characters like Batman, Wolverine and Hulk. Superman's the shining light that peaks through the forest of dark superheroes. It's not the 60s or the 70s when Superman was nothing short of a fan-beloved celebrity. Today, we're in a world that is much more similar to 1938 (only technologically advanced) when Superman was created and was the champion of the oppressed in dark times.

Also note that this is merely a teaser for what's to come, not a Trailer. Expect a trailer around december this year and be blown away. If you still insist on getting blown away right away, try getting hold of the extended teaser that was premiered at the San Diego comic convention! It, for sure, will give you the adrenaline rush that you so seek.

I, for one, believe that this movie is going to be nothing short of amazing!!!'

      PEACE!

I think it looks fantastic! I'm really impressed that for a film about an alien orphan that lands on Earth, can fly, is virtually indestructable, has heat vision/x-ray vision/super hearing...etc. they've opted to release such an understated teaser.

They haven't pandered to the frothing masses who demand to see everything in 60 seconds and that can only be a good thing.

I agree they shouldn't have pandered to the masses and released something action-packed, but I also believe this teaser was a bit too understated. I like it up until the point they show Superman flying. That part .. it just didn't feel right. Like it was added in there only 'cause they gotta show him in costume somehow.

You mean once Superman breaks the sound barrier? That's called a contrail. It's usually from the moisture in jet engines, but it's also caused by changes in air pressure.

I've seen some awesome teasers and this isn't one of them! Knowing it's a Superman film, and expecting something epic, played a large part in my response. From the teaser alone, however, it looked like this might be an interesting film and I could possibly find myself wanting to know more.

Regardless, because it's a Superman film and because I know so much about it already, I'm more eager than ever to see future trailers — not to mention the film itself.
